Yaatri is a 2 man band, consisting of these two persons, which came together when both were searching for their musical identities.

Topu started his musical journey in college, composing and writing lyrics. Upon joining NSU his friends Misho Bhai and Pranjol Bhai got him into NSUSS (North South University Shangskritik Shongothon) in 2003. In 2004 when Emran joined the same club, they started jamming. Emran was already a part of the Band Raaga (who's self titled album was released in February 2005).

The first line up of their band was Bipu (Guitar), Mitu (Bass), Emran (Keys) and Topu (Vocals). It was then when Tony (drummer from Black) collaborated with them for their first single "Ek Paye Nupur" which was released in Tony's “Shopnochura” album at the end of 2004.

Yaatri was not officially formed until 2005 when Tony asked for another song in his sequel album "Shopnochura II". So they decided to do this project where topu would compose and sing Emran would arrange and produce. Their song "Ekta Gopon Kotha" at that point was one of the highlights of the album, and this fame and recognition brought Khaled Bhai from G Series to offer them a record deal in November 2005. The next 8 months was where the real journey began.

Collaborating with other guitarists, vocalists, bassists and drummers, Yaatri finally finished their debut album named "Daak" in October 2006 releasing it with a Band at Eid-ul-Fitr. The music can be described as acoustic and electronic sounds; and romantic and awakening lyrics.
